Role Overview:

Female Health Care Assistant to support a 46-year-old female client with a complex need in Bexhill. The ideal candidate will have tracheostomy experience, suctioning experience, cough assist, nebulisation and oxygen therapy. As well as strong communication skills are a must, as the role requires working closely with the client’s family.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 months experience in care (Essential)
  • Complex care experience is preferable
  • Drivers with access to their own vehicle are essential (to attend clubs)
  • Non-smokers preferred (smokers will not be successful long term due to the respiratory needs of the client)
  • To be eligible, you must hold full right to work in the UK

We Will Train You!

At Innovate Care Group, we believe in empowering our Healthcare Assistants with comprehensive training. Our training programme begins with e-learning modules on important topics such as safeguarding and person-centred care. You’ll then receive face-to-face clinical training, where you’ll develop essential skills like tracheostomy care and specialised medication administration, for example, Buccal Midazolam. In addition, we provide shadow shifts and bespoke competency sessions that will ensure you’re fully supported as you gain confidence in delivering expert, compassionate care.

  • A good understanding of the importance of consent and how to always gain it
  • Ability to build and maintain trust and rapport with the client and their family

 

House Rules & Work Environment:

  • Sleep-in HCA: Bring your own bedding (storage provided if in a bag)
  • Non-smokers preferred (smokers not excluded but may not be successful due to respiratory care needs)
  • Access to the carer’s room, kitchen, and bathroom (No access to lounge area)
  • No phones on shift (phones kept in the carer’s room)
  • Rotas emailed in advance
  • Inside shoes must be worn in the house
  • Milk, tea, coffee, and sugar provided (staff to bring own consumables)
  • Access to the microwave, oven, kettle, etc.
  • No eating in front of the client
  • No pets allowed on-site
  • Parking available on-site
