Role Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Female Paediatric Complex Care Assistant to support a 6-year-old boy with complex medical needs. The ideal candidate will have experience with tracheostomy care and be passionate about providing high-quality, personalized care for children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage tracheostomy care, including tube care, dressing changes, and suctioning
- Provide respiratory support, ensuring the child’s airway is maintained
- Assist with feeding, including enteral feeding if required
- Support the child’s general wellbeing, including emotional and developmental needs
- Provide ongoing care and ensure the child is safe and comfortable at all times
Key Requirements:
- Experience with tracheostomy care and respiratory support
- Previous experience in paediatric complex care
- Female carer required
- Must be a driver and able to travel to the child’s home
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of a young child

What We’re Looking For
- At least 12 months of care experience
- Experience with complex needs would be advantageous
- Compassion, professionalism, and reliability
- Good communication skills and IT confidence
- Car driver with access to your own vehicle
- Willingness to be part of a family-centred care team
- Hold an understanding of safeguarding
- Ability to recognise deterioration in both psychological and physical health
